Tutoring Policies

Cancellations

At MoxiePrep, our tutors are in high demand and maintain full schedules. While we strive to accommodate your student's academic and extracurricular commitments, we also ask for mutual respect and consideration when scheduling and canceling sessions.

To ensure smooth scheduling:

  • Advance Planning: Please consider your student’s academic and extracurricular commitments when booking sessions.

  • Cancellation Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please notify us via email or through our scheduling system at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will be charged the full session fee, except in the case of emergencies. Non-emergency reasons—such as athletic practices, social events, or an increased school workload—will not be accepted as valid excuses.

  • No-Shows & Tardiness: If a student is more than 30 minutes late, the session will be considered a cancellation.

  • Repeated No-Shows: We reserve the right to discontinue working with students who frequently miss scheduled sessions without proper notice.

Homework Policy

At MoxiePrep, we believe that consistent, focused practice leads to lasting improvement. Depending on the subject and your student’s needs, we may assign targeted homework to strengthen specific areas.

We understand that students have demanding schedules, but prioritizing assigned homework is essential for progress. Rushing through it at the last minute diminishes its effectiveness. To get the most out of tutoring:

  • Complete homework thoughtfully before your next session.

  • Communicate proactively—if you’re unable to finish an assignment on time, inform your tutor in advance so they can adjust the lesson plan accordingly.

By approaching homework with intention and effort, students maximize their learning and growth.

Rates/Fees

Our current hourly rates are as follows:

  • ACT/SAT Tutoring: $250 per hour

  • AP Tutoring: $205 per hour

  • Academic Tutoring: $175 per hour

  • New Student Registration & Curriculum Fee: $225 (one-time non-refundable)

  • Diagnostic & Practice Test Fee: $75 per test ($125 per test for non-MoxiePrep students)

Rates and fees are subject to change at any time.

Refunds: 

There are no refunds.

Guarantee: 

No academic performance or score improvement guarantees apply to tutoring. However, the explicit goal of MoxiePrep is to help students achieve their best possible results.
